Welcome
Our school has been teaching children of Kalingalinga since 1998. The school has grown in the past 10 years from the original 24 students to almost 200. It is the only high school in Kalingalinga, a compound of 20,000 people, located 5 kilometers NE of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
In December 2006 the school was designated
as a recipient of memorial donations for Jackson C. Oswald (J. O.) of Colleyville,
Texas. These gifts have initiated a building fund for the school. As a result
we are expanding and changing our name to J. O. Chifundo School. A committee
has been formed in Zambia and the U.S. to oversee the project. Land has been
purchased and architectural plans have been drawn.
Goals
By encouraging students to establish and develop a deep relationship with God, J. O. Chifundo undergraduates and their families will understand God’s desire to “give you hope and a future.” We believe that the following verses honor the memory of Jack Oswald, a humble God loving man whose life now brings years of hope and future to Kalingalinga students
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans
to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to
you." - Jeremiah 29:11-12, NIV
Giving
We have partnered with Globe Outreach to handle our administrative duties. Globe Outreach is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, which is a status provided to them through the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Having this status allows you to contribute to the J. O. Chifundo School through Globe Outreach thus ensuring all your gifts are tax deductible for you as the donor.
Once your contribution is received, it will be posted and you will receive a letter from Globe Outreach stating that in fact your gift has been received and posted to the J. O. Chifundo School account. At the end of each tax year Globe Outreach will provide you with a receipt which can be used for your tax purposes.

Symbol
Our logo contains a West African symbol known as adinkra. It translates as "He who does not know can know from learning". It is the symbol of knowledge, life-long education and continued quest for knowledge. Jenny Oswald chose the symbol.
